Internal & External Auditor Certification

There are two types of COR auditors - Internal and External. Depending on your company size and whether you are in a qualification, maintenance, or re-qualification year, you will need your company's safety program audited by an internal of external auditor. Once you have determined this, it's up to your company to ensure you use a qualified Internal or External Auditor.

  • Becoming an Internal Auditor

Internal auditors are required to take a two-day Auditor Training course. There are two different versions: one for large companies and one for small companies. Be sure to choose the correct training for your company size. You can register for the Internal Auditor Training courses here.

  • Becoming an External Auditor

Though the CSN does not assign an external auditor to a company, we want to ensure the individuals we recommend are qualified auditors.  The CSN is currently accepting application forms but is not processing any new applications at this time.

External auditor competency form used to rate auditors can be downloaded here.
